Job Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. As our pharmacist you would provide clinical pharmacy services for all patients and ensures the safe procurement, preparation, labeling, distribution and control of all medications. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity.
What you will do in this role:
- You will coordinate and assists with the development, implementation and maintenance of clinical pharmacy programs to ensure clinical services meet the requirements and needs of the patient population and community.
- You will provide clinical pharmacy support and executes clinical pharmacy programs for all patient areas.
- You will review medication orders and quality of technicians work to ensure appropriateness of drugs ordered, dosage, route and interactions. Adjust medications dosage/schedule as appropriate for patient condition as per policy.
- You will ensure medications are safely dispensed to patients in accordance with age.
- You will closely monitor narcotic transactions by checking all controlled substances that are dispensed and reconciles the quantity/type of narcotics leaving the pharmacy
- You will assist the department in addressing physician consults as needed. Provide timely retrieval of reliable drug information from available sources.
- You will communicate effectively and works with physicians and/or other members of the interdisciplinary team in meeting patient needs.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
