Chick-fil-A University at Mill & Mesa Riverview is seeking a full-time Executive Marketing Director that takes initiative in planning and executing marketing and brand growth strategies. This person uses metrics and data to drive decisions and results through grassroots marketing, creating a focus on our local, Tempe audience. This position actively seeks opportunities to build the brand through strategic partnerships and initiatives, ensuring the brand is represented properly both inside and outside of the restaurants. The Executive Marketing Director is able to combine their creativity and drive with the vision of the Operator and Chick-fil-As brand to execute marketing strategies and brand growth.

Responsibilities & Requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Apply provided or gathered data to drive grassroots marketing initiatives and then execute on these initiatives.
  • Create and present on quarterly and/or annual strategic marketing goals and execution plan to the Senior Director team
  • Manage and create an effective strategy to grow Chick-fil-A mobile app usage
  • Execute guest recovery in a timely manner to ensure guests feel cared for
  • Maintain and build relationships with current partners (Arizona State University, MLB spring training teams, local high schools and businesses)
  • Communicate all marketing events and essential information to store leaders and making sure the Google Calendar is up to date with any corporate or local campaigns & events
  • Work in and learn restaurant operations to gain knowledge of the business and opportunities to interact with guests and the community
  • Responsible for the success of outside sales - working ASU home football, baseball, or basketball games and other sports as needed, Spring Training games, and other marketing events
  • Plan monthly volunteer events for the team while building on community relations.
  • Ensure the restaurant looks sharp (all restaurant signage is up-to-date, flowers, community boards).
  • Lead the execution of catering order preparation in the kitchen and catering deliveries, may need to assist with preparation or delivery as needed
  • Check emails and answer the marketing phone to manage donations, catering orders, and community partnerships
  • Responsible for all aspects of growth, including but not limited to: check average, overall sales, growth in outside sales, mobile orders, catering and third party delivery services, event attendance, and guest count

Qualifications:

  • Grassroots marketing experience
  • Innovative and self-motivated
  • Strategic planner
  • High level of multi-tasking skills and organizational skills (the ability to stay focused on different tasks, and use your time, energy, mental capacity, and physical space effectively and efficiently)
  • Adaptable & flexible to change and fast-paced environments
  • Preferred bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Communications, Marketing, Media, Public Relations, Business.
  • Able to build relationships within the community (ie; distributing food and catering menus to local businesses, setting up cross-promotions and school programs, as well as involving Chick-fil-A in community-wide events)
  • Specific hours vary depending on the task to be accomplished (will involve some Saturdays and holidays, must have open availability)
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be able to stand on feet for long hours and lift 40 lbs +
