Transportation Clerks Day Shift / Full-Time Positions

Orgill Rome Distribution Center is seeking Transportation Clerks to join our team

What You Will Do:

Primarily responsible for supporting the Transportation department by assisting in the processing and maintaining the paperwork, driver packets, and phone calls pertaining to the Transportation department. Assist with communication of driver staff.

Responsibilities:

• Verify all Bill of Lading for signatures and confirm all deliveries are made.
• Maintain all Transportation files including Trip Reports, Ryder Invoices, Hotel Receipts, Fuel Receipts, Miles and Driver logs.
• Tracking all invoices billed to Transportation for accurate billing.
• Review all driver time cards are accurate.
• Handle phone calls from customers, drivers, sales department and customer service concerning deliveries.
• Process C.O.D.s.
• Excellent attendance and reliable predictability a must.
• Preform all other tasks and duties as assigned.*

What You Will Need:

• High School diploma preferred
• Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed.
• Excellent computer skills, including Work and Excel spreadsheets.
• Good math and reading skills.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail essential and demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain records accurately.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations preferred.
• Previous transportation experience preferred.
• Power Equipment certification a plus.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must have the ability to meet physical assessment requirements for this position.
