Description:
Forklift Operator
1st shift: $18 /hr :7am-3pm (Monday- Friday)
3rd shift: $19.50 11pm-7am Sunday- Thursday
Typical day:
•This is not a forklift job in a warehouse environment **will not work in a warehouse - shipping environment**
•Will be responsible for working closely with all of the machine operators to ensure they have all the parts they need to operate the machines
•Will take boxes to the operators and pallets of product
•Will look at operators as if they are their customers and need the products to keep machine running
•Will require a lot of multi-tasking and fast pace
•Will drive stand up tow motor and sit down
•Will need to be comfortable going through tight spaces
•Will need to be very proactive and not reactive - putting out fires all day
•Removing finished pallets from the lines and putting them in back stock or staging area
•Will be driving forklift 90% of the day
•Need to lift 50 lbs
•Constantly moving and looking for the next thing to do to keep machine operators fed with parts they need to meet their quotas
•This is a very important job and requires someone who has attention to detail and takes initiative
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
1.Must have at least 2 years of forklift experience
2.Must have experience delivering parts to and from a line in a fast pace manufacturing setting
3.Must be open to stand up and sit down forklift
4.Must have STEEL TOE BOOTS
5.Must be able to lift 30 lbs
6.Must be able to work 5-10 hrs of OT a week
Overhead crane is a PLUS
