Certified Baker Training Specialist- Hampton RoadsThe Bakery Training Specialist (BTS) is a market-based hourly support role, responsible for the effective training of all bakers and validating the quality of completed bakes in cafes, in an assigned market, and providing support to the Regional Senior Operations Manager (RSOM) for all in-market bakery tasks and activities.Duties & Responsibilities:Partner with GMs to interview and select a strong team of bakers and develop a capable team of Certified Baker Trainers (CBTs).Responsible for the overall execution of the Baker Training Program within an assigned set of cafes.Facilitate cafe and/or market "bread cuttings" (informational and educational baking events that communicate and teach participants key baking components and introduce new products) with confidence, excitement, passion and expertise.Validate and reinforce all Bakery standards, product specifications and procedures with all associates designated to bake in a bakery-cafe including, but not limited to, bakers, CBTs, cafe managers, etc.Collaborate with other BTSs in the market to validate and reinforce established expectations and responsibilities with each baker in all bakery-cafes in an assigned market.Foster a partnership between assigned bakery-cafes and the supporting Fresh Dough Facility (FDF), from where all fresh dough is made and shipped. Ensure consistent and high-quality dough is delivered and accepted in all bakery-cafes in an assigned market.Ensure the quality and integrity of all products and ingredients within the Baker's environments aremaintained.Provide support to cafe managers and the LBMM to troubleshoot baking equipment, as needed.Demonstrate proficiency in all the required tasks and expectations.Qualifications (Education & Experience):Education Level: High School Diploma or GED is preferred.Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of Panera Bakery experience.Strong communication and influencing skills.Ability to organize time and tasks with proficiency.Demonstrates willingness and talent to coach and teach others.Self-motivated and able to work independently (with limited oversight).Ability to motivate and inspire others to perform at a high level.Demonstrates a tireless work ethic, with the ability to work varying hours, including nights and weekends.Comfortable using Microsoft Office programs.Working Conditions:Local Travel Required - up to 90%Physical Requirements:This position requires a mix of walking/standing during long periods while on cafe visits (including the lifting of heavy items or boxes), some desk/office administrative work, as well as driving between cafe locations.Bakery Organization Hampton Roads East
