Our client is a $30M government contractor in rapid growth mode. They are looking to add a Technical Accounting Manager to their team, that will report into their Controller. The company works on highly classified contracts and this role would allow for the person to obtain a clearance.
This is a permanent, direct hire opportunity with above market benefits
Responsibilities:
Analyzetransactionsandpreparetechnicalaccountingmemos todocumentaccounting treatment conclusions to ensure proper accounting and disclosure.
Collaborate with stakeholdersto gather the required data for analysis.
Monitor and assess the impact of new accounting and disclosure requirements, and lead theimplementations as applicable to the company.
Take the lead on specific initiatives, includingaccounting for business combinationpurchaseaccounting, goodwill and intangibles, revenue recognition and consolidations.
Interact with external auditors to respond to information requests and inquiries to ensurethat the annual audits are completed on time.
Assist in maintaining and improvinginternal processes and controls
compliance.
Provide support on various special projects as assigned by management
including assistancewithproject cost analysis and related financial
presentations.
