This is a working position, and the Engineering Manager will be responsible for handling overflow design work. The Engineering Manager will report in directly to the General Manager. ***Summary:*** ***Required Qualifications:*** * High School Diploma or equivalent required. College or technical school certification preferred. * MINIMUM 5 years of experience in Fire Protection design and hydraulic calculations. * REQUIRED NICET Level III in a Fire Protection Discipline. * Working Knowledge in AutoCAD. * Hydra-CAD knowledge desired. * Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, and Outlook. * Ability to interpret and apply applicable NFPA standards to the design/layout of the fire systems based on the building type, construction type, hazard classification, and architectural features. * Some field installation experience is desired, but not required. * Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees. * Mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
