Position Overview

Develops and analyzes credit information pertaining to existing commercial real estate and other business loans. Completes annual reviews to ensure compliance with financial and other loan covenants. Prepares cash flow analyses, summaries, presents facts and may offer opinions concerning credit worthiness.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
  • Gathers and evaluates personal and business financial information to determine the ongoing creditworthiness of borrowers and guarantors, and determines compliance with financial and other loan covenants
  • Monitors the credit risk associated with customer accounts
  • Provides support in all area of lending as may be required; and maintains and fosters a professional relationship with other departments and staff
  • Coordinates annual credit review process, including but not limited to initiating inquiries into customer's bank and trade references, determining customer's ongoing credit and financial capacity
  • Prepares annual financial loan reviews
  • Assesses the ongoing creditworthiness of existing customers, including adherence to payment terms and credit limits. Through analysis, confirms compliance to internal and external policies and regulations
  • Performs property inspections
  • Reviews appraisals, environmental reports, and other third party reports
  • Establishes and maintains customer credit files and/or database; continually reviews customers' credit histories and recommends adjustments to customer credit limits and terms as necessary
  • Reviews collections reports to ascertain status of collections and outstanding balances and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures
  • Participate in the Bank's continuing education program
  • Comply with all Anti-Money Laundering Laws and Regulations

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with normal business hours with occasional overtime required.

Travel

Although travel is generally not required, occasionally some local travel may be required during the business day. Out-of-the-area and overnight travel is extremely rare.

Required Education and Experience
  1. At least two years of previous experience and/or education in commercial financial analysis
  2. Strong knowledge of loan related transactions involving advances, payments, and calculation of interest
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office products
Preferred Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
  2. At least three years previous commercial credit analysis and underwriting experience

Salary Description

$50,000.00 to $55,000.00
