ESSENTIAL DUTIES Lead by example the company’s commitment to safety and administer the company safety program, including performing safety audits when necessary and stressing the importance of safety to all employees. Chair branch safety committee. Lead by example the company’s commitment to customer service and understand the importance and need to follow through on customer care. Ensure the branch's daily operations run efficiently, cost effectively, and meet financial commitments. Manage profit and loss (P&L) and use accounting reports to measure each department's performance to ensure monthly budgetary goals are met. Prepare yearly budget for district management to be presented to executive management. Lead unprofitable account reviews and follow-ups. Work with sales personnel to increase customer base or depending on the branch size, directly handle sales management responsibilities, including meeting with and making presentations to current and potential customers; resolving customer problems; and participating in the bidding of large and/or complex jobs to ensure profitability. Review and approve revenue and margins prior to submission of sales proposals. Oversee and approve sales incentives and use of company systems. Oversee retention of service contracts including direct involvement in all “at risk” customer accounts. Play leadership role in customer retention programs using processes, tools, and technology. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, elevator consultants, building owners, managers, and prospects. Maintain a strong working knowledge of the overall market area, including sales backlog, service and repair volume, market penetration, volume of outstanding bids, available new business, special projects, and staffing requirements and availability. Maintain market knowledge of the geographic submarkets, customer segments, strengths and weaknesses of the competition and positions the branch accordingly for sustained success. Maintain updated knowledge of all federal, state and local elevator industry code requirements; and have a good understanding standing of employment and labor laws. Maintain strong familiarity of company products. Maintain a maintaining a strong working knowledge of the contract with the International Union of Elevator Constructor, including meeting with local business agents to resolve issues involving contract work, grievances, and union employee issues. Review and approve invoices, accounts receivables, write-offs, and credits, including assisting in the collection of problem accounts. Lead meetings to review all over 90 receivables (AR) and assigns action plans. Interface with corporate and US field departments including the factory, elevate, coordination, leasing, legal, and labor relations. When requested, represents the company in legal proceedings. Review contracts for approval from sales staff. Work with legal department to negotiate and obtain final approval from customer. Responsible for multiple levels of approvals including but not limited to purchasing, contract execution, contract modifications, and price adjustments. Have detailed understanding of payroll system and how field payroll is coded. Detailed understanding of SB invoicing process, pay applications for modernization and new installation projects.

This role manages subordinate supervisor(s) who supervise employee(s) and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. The individual also directly supervises nonsupervisory employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. All hiring, coaching, performance management and terminations are to be in coordination with HR support and approval.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Experience: Minimum 5 years in related Requires a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report. Local Travel Expectations: 25% or as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS Job duties are performed within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. When the employee has cause to visit a work site, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions. The noise in the work environment is often loud. Requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours. Certain positions will require a flexibility of working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager.
