We are looking for a Industrial Data Assistant for our Baltimore, Maryland Facility.
The Industrial Data Assistant is responsible for verifying data accuracy, updating master data records and auditing/updating associated service orders within the ERP for the maintenance and operation project.
Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Interrogation and input of master data and transactional data into relevant IT systems, primarily SAP and Excel
- Support to general administrative tasks associated with Mechanical Department requirements
- Maintain accurate records of vehicles and related serialized components, including configuration and repairs
- Archive documentation / filing of vehicle and component records
- Provide ad-hoc reports on Mechanical Department data upon request
ERP Service Order Control
- Creation of Notifications and Service Orders in ERP
- Verify integrity of the data on completed service orders and seek corrections/additional data if and when required
- Closure of Service Orders for all work done
Data Preparation
- Data chasing for control of Mechanical Department assets and documentation
- Assist with implementing and updating APSYS board, KPIs, standard reports, etcetera
- Data collection for KPIs
Desired Knowledge / Experience
- General knowledge of rail vehicle maintenance requirements
- Experience of working in a Service site or Production environment
- Basic/intermediate skills in Office, especially Excel (sorting, filtering, formulas, pivot tables)
- Languages: English (written and spoken fluency)
- Basic knowledge of quality and safety systems
Behavioral Competencies
- Good communication, report writing and organizational skills
- IT skills - competent user of Windows-based computers, including Office 365 apps, SAP, and SES
- Flexible working hours (regular shift is Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm)
- Ability to travel to remote work sites (Martinsburg, WV; Brunswick, Frederick, Essex, MD; Washington, DC) as needed
- Comfort in Industrial environment; PPE (hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses) required daily
