Medical Director Job Summary - Partner with Franchise Administrator. MD has medical and technical responsibility. Administrator has financial and investment responsibility. As the medical practice's owner and primary healthcare advocate, the Medical Director assures delivery of quality services to all patients. The Medical Director develops, implements, and evaluates the medical practice delivery model in accordance with the goals of the GameDay Franchise. The Medical Director shares in the administrative functions that directly impact medical services and collaborates with the manager in the overall planning and budgeting for the practice. This includes but is not limited to training and monitoring of Physician Assistants (PA) and Nurse Practitioners (NP), as well as leadership and guidance to the medical team. In the absence of the Medical Provider, the Medical Director also performs clinical responsibilities as agreed upon. This is an excellent source of additional income as a second part-time responsibility. Some might call it a "side gig." Job Duties: Medical Staff Supervision and Training Be on-site at the Gameday physical location(s) at least twice monthly to ensure proper oversight and supervision of all mid-level practitioners (PAs and NPs) medical activities. When not on site, be continuously available to provide clinical direction to their PAs, NPs, and Medical Assistants (MAs) via direct communication either in call, text, and/or email. Participate in the ongoing training and continuous education of all Gameday treatment modalities, ensuring that it is up to date with the requirements of the necessary entities. Recruit and train physician assistants and nurse practitioners as necessary. Enforce all medical procedures and policies. Facilitate medical staff/provider meetings. Oversee documentation and care planning. Perform or delegate responsibility for quarterly medical record reviews for all medical staff focusing on quality of care and appropriate coding. Quality Assurance and Compliance Complete the Gameday Medical Director Quality Assurance Assessment weekly. Complete a thorough review of at least the minimum required PA and NP medical charts as dictated by state and federal law. Delegate to the mid-level practitioner (PA and NP) only those tasks and procedures consistent with the supervising physician's specialty or usual and customary practice. Ensure state and federal compliant Delegation Agreements are in place and up to date at all times. Develop standards and qualifications for medical personnel and ensure that they are upheld at all times. Clinic Administrative Support Participate, in conjunction with the manager, in the overall budget planning and monitoring process; review the formulation and evaluation of project goals and budgets. Handle elevated clinical patient complaints. Advises on purchase of medical equipment. Reviews input from staff on their ideas and concerns with the manager. Review results of patient satisfaction surveys. Job Requirements Must work on-site 10 hours/month per Milwaukee Location (1-3 Locations). Promote a medical provider environment in which the medical providers: Practice only within their respective proper scope of practice Provide an environment in which the medical providers follow and abide by the ethics of the medical profession, all applicable federal, state and local laws and ordinances, and any and all other policies adopted by Gameday. Handles confidential information as defined in Federal HIPAA guidelines. Demonstrates an understanding of Gameday's mission in performing all aspects of the position. Competencies, Qualifications, Education, and Experience Must have M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school. Insurability (malpractice) Minimum Three (3) years of practice as a licensed physician - Preferred Supervisory experience is highly desirable. Skill in using computer programs and applications (including but not limited to email, Microsoft Office, EMR systems) Should display excellent written, as well as verbal communication skills for use over the phone and in email correspondence.
