This is a full-time, on-site position in Santa Monica, CA. The Director of Human Resources, is the head of human resources for our client. The Director of HR must be a self-motivated, professional, business partner to the leadership team and entire employee population of the company. The Director of HR supports and strengthens the team members and business, by focusing on employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, training and development, recruiting and other initiatives that promote a professional, healthy, people-centric culture. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead, develop, implement, and maintain all human resource initiatives, ensuring that they are aligned with the values of the company. Partner with executive team to establish and uphold policies and procedures that uphold the company culture. Manage the HR budget and ensure that resources are allocated effectively. Manage HR systems and processes to ensure that they are efficient and effective, including HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration. Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive talent management strategy. Be the thought leader and expert on current on HR trends and best practices, make recommendations for continuous improvement. Manage and administer corporate benefit programs and facilitate annual enrollment process. Drive ongoing performance and compensation review processes on a local level, in partnership with showroom and department leaders. Create SOPs for and lead all functions of human resources and the employment life-cycle including, but not limited to: recruiting, on-boarding, off-boarding, compliance, benefits and compensation processes. Facilitate training, educational programs, and events that encourage and enhance team member knowledge, development, wellbeing and growth. Participate in and/or lead special projects as needed. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues, including performance management, employee relations, and compliance. Ensure consistent compliance with employment legislation. Manage and provide support with performance management. Acts as liaison to outside HR business partners and legal counsel. POSITION TYPE: Full-time, exempt, on-site

Requirements EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or another related field. MA desired. 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution and/or retail environment. Minimum of 3 years of HR Management experience. SHRM certified preferred. Strong knowledge of employment legislation and safety regulations. Experienced with employee relations, performance management, meeting facilitation, training, leading and coaching others, managing multiple responsibilities, and leading organizational change. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Proficient with HRIS and Payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Consistently apply appropriate judgment and discretion in the handling of sensitive and/or confidential information.
