**WHY THIS ROLE IS MISSION CRITICAL** A Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operator sorts, routes and loads cargo to and from various warehousing locations with powered industrial equipment and perform inventory counts as required. This role is responsible for operating material handling equipment safely and support general warehouse operations. + Assist in application of methods and techniques to manage dangerous goods. Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions.

+ Comply with height, weight and special handling requirements in stacking, moving, arranging items on pallets according to storage plan. Stage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage location.

+ Assist in application of methods and techniques to manage time and temperature sensitive cargo.

+ Identify operational shortfall, maintenance or repair needs

+ Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process

+ Report warehousing issues in a timely manner and support the department in incident/crisis management initiatives.

+ Perform warehouse operations in accordance with 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain) techniques in manufacturing

+ Perform container stuffing and unstuffing operation as well as cross docking operations and shipment consolidation.

**WHO YOU ARE:**

+ Must have OSHA compliant Forklift Operator Certification

+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred

+ Minimum of one year of related warehouse and/or powered industrial lift experience required

+ Ability to do basic mathematics

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and walk in high traffic areas

+ Complies with established company policies and procedures

+ Willing to work overtime when required

+ Must have basic fluency in English language so that the candidate can understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc.

+ Ability to prioritize work effectively

+ Tackles new problems in a timely manner
