Our client is one of the largest global asset managers in LA with over $xxxB in AUM and is seeking a fund accounting manager (or senior fund accounting manager, if YoE align) to join their team.
What you'll be doing:
Preparingandmaintainingthebooksandrecordsofpooledprivateinvestmentfundsorganizedaslimitedpartnershipsand/orseparateaccounts;
Accounting for and reconciliation of cash, investments and real property;
Recording and reconciling of purchase and sale transactions;
Accounting for complex corporate actions;
Estimating and posting of monthly closing accruals;
Calculating of income and expense allocations to each partner, including updating of distribution waterfall based on the terms of the governing documents;
Determining and preparing distributions and draw-downs;
Preparing of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to clients;
Analyzing and calculating of performance metrics for partnerships/accounts as well as for each investment;
Coordinatingwithfunds'independentauditors,custodians,primebrokersandfundadministrators
What you'll need:
Minimum 5-7 years relevant accounting or audit experience within Big Four public accounting or a mix of public accounting and investment management industry experience;
Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis;
Excellent understanding of accounting and the ability to apply relevant investment company accounting rules;
Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems;
CPA preferred, not required

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;
other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
