Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Hybrid Role: In-Office and remote.

Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Licensed Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Employer-Sponsored Health Plans and benefits, along with excellent communication skills for engaging with members and pharmacy partners. In this essential role, you will serve as a crucial link between healthcare providers, patients, and pharmacies, facilitating effective communication. Additionally, you will participate in industry events and represent our company through public speaking engagements, making strong public speaking skills a requirement. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a bridge between prescribers, pharmacies, and patients to ensure effective communication regarding medication needs and treatment plans.
  • Provide education to patients about their medications, including proper usage, potential side effects, and adherence strategies.
  • Serve as a company spokesperson, representing our organization at industry events, client meetings, and media engagements.
  • Participate in strategic planning and business development initiatives to improve pharmacy services and patient care outcomes.
  • Engage in routine administrative functions like generating reports on medication needs and adherence data, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Utilize health technology tools to enhance patient engagement, such as assisting with mobile app installations for medication management.
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) with additional clinical experience.
  • A valid Maryland pharmacist license is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy experience required.
  • Strong public speaking abilities with a confident and engaging presentation style.
  • Experience in representing the organization and managing vendor relationships effectively.
  • Strong clinical pharmacy experience in medication management, patient care, and therapeutic decision-making.
  • Business and strategic planning skills.
  • Completion of all necessary continuing education to maintain licensure in the respective state.
  • Familiarity with health technology and patient engagement tools.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and all forms of technology.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Please note that this position is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), meaning it is not eligible for overtime pay.

Travel:

The position may require occasional travel. Some travel is outside the local area and overnight.
