The role youll contribute:

The Senior Manager for Executive Communications will support the C-suite leaders at AdventHealth and develop communications strategies that inform, engage, inspire and positions AdventHealth as a national leader in healthcare. The senior manager has superb writing skills and a firm understanding of the company's business strategy and mission, which enables them to write both in both the business context and faith-based arena with authority. The senior manager has proven experience in supporting C-suite communications and can capture the distinct voices of various leaders in speeches, video scripts, and short and long-form written messages. The senior manager supports other executives in communicating timely and strategic news to stakeholders by developing content and collaborating with content experts.

  • Specifically, the Senior Manager for Executive Communications will support communications needs for the state of Florida, including the voices of the group CEO of AdventHealth Florida and Clinical and other executives as needed.
  • The position will exercise leadership in developing communications strategies that inform, engage, inspire and positions AdventHealth as a leader in healthcare across the state of Florida and nationally.
  • The role will create high-quality and strategic communications plans and actionable engagement strategies for AdventHealth Florida and its executives as assigned. This includes speeches, talking points, briefing documents, presentations, videos, collateral, ads/advertorials, emails, key messaging, special projects, advocacy and legislative communications and social media to support mission, business goals and organization culture.

The value youll bring to the team:

Create high-quality and strategic communications and actionable engagement strategies for the AdventHealth executives as assigned. This includes speeches, presentations, video, email, and social media to support mission, business goals and organization culture.

Develop and implement communication plans that support the strategic priorities of the organization and Vision 2030.

Oversee the thought leadership platform which includes social media posting, editorial writing, public speaking and podcast program.

Work closely with communication leaders throughout the enterprise to coordinate communication efforts. Seek and identify ways to partner, share best practices and information and publicize / amplify content.

Serve as a consultant and strategic advisor to AdventHealth leadership, as well as marketplace communication teams.

Partners with peers within the Communications department to support the success of the team and other individuals to promote the overall success of the organization.

Builds and nurtures positive internal and external relationships to help effectively deliver integrated communication strategies

Day-to-day responsibilities include developing, organizing and implementing integrated communications programs as well as writing and preparing content with an emphasis on creating speeches, presentations and written communications for targeted audiences

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED:

Superior writing skills

Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational and project management skills; proven ability to meet deadlines

High level of attention to detail to ensure accurate information and error free communications

Demonstrated understanding and effectiveness in social media platforms

Proven ability to maintain confidential information and interface with all levels of team members, including executives and physicians

Ability to learn and adapt to new communications practices and determine ways to apply marketplace trends

Demonstrated ability for generating and executing creative ideas Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Understanding of social media trends and technology preferred

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelors and 5 years experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

4-year college degree in business management, public relations, journalism or communications. Minimum of five-years of relevant experience and experience in writing within the health care industry.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED :

Master's degree preferred

Three Must Have Competencies/Skills:

  • Effective collaboration and leadership
