LHH is looking to fill a self-motivated and results-oriented Senior Accountant position for a client of ours in Chicago, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for the general oversight within the monthly and quarterly close process, along with assisting in the improvement of internal controls while participating in projects that integrate a wide range of accounting exposure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-3+ years corporate accounting or public accounting experience
  • CPA+
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc..)
  • Self-motivated / Results-oriented

Duties:

  • Preparation and review of monthly and quarterly close processes
  • Journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Preparation and review of various stand-alone audit reports
  • Assist with the optimization of accounting procedures
  • Preparation of monthly analytics over significant account balances
  • Assist leadership with financial statement preparation
  • Ad Hoc projects
