Job Summary The Senior Mechanical Engineer I-Robotics will be responsible for engineering of material handling systems, with a focus on mechanical design aspects of robotic and advanced automation solutions . Daifuku provided solutions require a cohesive team effort inclusive of various disciplines such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, controls, software, and project management.

As part of the Robotics Team, Robotics Mechanical Engineers will develop and implement designed solutions that satisfy customer requirement for safety, functionality, reliability, throughput, and expense.

Efforts will include leading small to medium projects and directing/assigning work to project team members. Performance of project duties with a decreasing level of direct supervision is expected.

Responsibilities: Participates in designing/enhancing robotic material-handling and advanced automation systems; includes design and specification of custom parts/assemblies such as robot End-of ArmTooling (EoAT) May work on phases of large projects and/or an entire smaller project Contibutes significantly to system safety design evaluations, including Safety Risk Assessments Leads efforts in the review of designs for compliance with engineering priciples, company standards, and customer requirements and specifications. Creates approval, permit, and installation drawings using AutoCAD an/or SolidWorks Obtains material and product quotes from vendors Monitors the project schedule, engineering time, and material costs Works with other disciplines on the project team to make sure the engineered solution and all equipment fit within system confines and constraints Occasionally travels up measure project locations, inventory equipment, commission systems, and interface with customers Drives efforts for

continuous improvement projects Assists in resolving engineering issues by working with customers, vendors, and other team members Interacts and collaborates with suppliers, including product training attendance when applicable Supports Robotics Factory pre-ship testing, validations, and customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) when applicable Leads projects by defining and issuing work to assigned team members Directs assigned project team and assigns priorities consistent with project needs; reports progress to project and engineering management Provides experienced input to the project lessons learned process Reviews customer specifications and scope documentation for quotation and clarification

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant Engineering Majors Minimum of 4-8 years of related experience Strong

knowledge of industrial automation safety design standards and practices Strong
