Job Description:SUMMARYThis position is responsible for assisting nursing staff and providers with day-to-day operations in association with direct and indirect care of patients in the clinic. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability to be successful. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)•Prepare patients for examination and treatment•Complete all necessary documentation in patients' medical records in accordance with the clinic's charting policy•Maintain and utilize effective communication with patients, coworkers and visitors•Demonstrate responsibility for professionalism growth and development•ctively participate in continuous quality improvements, staff meetings, and education programs•Places orders under the supervision of a provider•Perform and assist with various aspects of patient care such as administering medication under general supervision, providing instructions to patients, performing basic lab procedures as instructed, and assisting with medical procedures as appropriate•Maintain a clean, orderly and safe environment for patients and visitors•Clean, sterilize, and store instruments in accordance with clinic policies•Restock and prepare the medical suites for patient examination•Reorder supplies when needed•Respond to patient and family needs•Maintain high standards of confidentiality relating to patient information•Complete required continuous training and education•Comply with personal protective equipment requirements•Comply with bloodborne pathogens procedures•Screen telephone calls and take message from callers•Initiate proper action in response to problems•Provide information about services available•Schedule appointments•Call patients to confirm and reschedule appointments•Organization of Office and Lab•Display and promote company values•Regular attendance•Other duties as assigned SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to effectively communicateTime Management skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentOrganizational skills EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE•BLS certification or obtain upon hire•Experience in medical setting preferred•Certified Medical Assistant Certification•High School or GED preferredPosition Urgency:Quick StartShifts:7:45am-5:15pm M-FState License Details:Must Be Currently ActiveMinimum Years of Experience:3Minimum Guaranteed Hours:36Specialty Type:NursingSub Specialty:Clinic, Medical AssistantBilingual:NoEMR Used:EPICHoliday Coverage Required:No
