General Purpose The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets all customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow associates with respect, follows all company best?practice standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. Essential Functions Practice safe behaviors; safety is the number one priority. Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure environment, keeping egress clear and reporting unsafe conditions. Treat customers and colleagues with respect and courtesy; greet customers with eye contact, a smile, and a friendly hello. Assist customers by providing register training, merchandise assistance, and product knowledge; respond promptly to customer inquiries. Handle customer issues courteously, calling store leadership when needed. Represent and support the company brand at all times. Perform cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high?touch areas. Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the company's dress code. Perform daily assigned sizing and recovery to ensure a neat, clean, and organized store. Expedite merchandise receipts, merchandising all items per company best practice and monthly presentation guidelines. Understand loss prevention programs, shortage highway, store protection specialist duties, and merchandise protection standards. Demonstrate integrity and honesty in all interactions; safeguard confidential information, cash, credit card and merchandise. Follow all mark?out?of?stock policies and proper disposal procedures. Follow all cash, check, charge?card, refund, void and offline policies; maintain accuracy with bankable tenders. Execute all store best practices efficiently to maximize productivity. Perform basic mathematical calculations common in retail environments. Physical Requirements / ADA Use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs. Stand, walk, and move around the store for 100% of working time. Bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop regularly. Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25?pounds. Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies. Additional qualifications may apply for specific assignments or stockroom shifts (e.g., lifting more than 20?pounds).
