Our Training Coordinator supports appliance manufacturing operations and is responsible for training, directing, scheduling, coordinating training activities, and providing training resources to all DPO personnel. The Training Coordinator will also assist in identifying skills and knowledge gaps that need to be addressed, and will work with leaders to create training plans.

How You'll Create Possibilities
  • Schedule, coordinate and conduct training as needed for the DPO site to include: EHS, Quality, Maintenaince, Core & Process training, Material & Forklift training, Operator, Leadership, etc.
  • Deliver technical training in partnership with subject matter experts.
  • Conduct EHS and safety training for new hires.
  • Enter/log and track all training with DevelopU, Excel, Benchmark/Gensuite or applicable system.
  • Work with IT/EHS to resolve issues with WebET/Gensuite/Edcast/Raven/Docheboo/DevelopU systems.
  • Update training curriculums based on job changes through WebET/Gensuite (add/remove, etc.) or other applicable learning systems.
  • Run training reports and communicate to leaders & employees what training is due and when training is scheduled.
  • Maintain plant-wide annual training calendar with different learnings that meet the plant's training needs.
  • Coordinate with medical to verify prerequisites prior to job training & ensure HR/managers are aware of pending/overdue training.
  • Utilize high-risk training report to schedule training and communicate to supervisors.
  • Become familiar and learn as needed on-the-job (OJT), classroom, and online training well enough to teach certain subjects.
  • Ensure classroom/conference rooms are setup and reserved as required for training.
  • Utilize Gensuite/excel to track and report on training for DPO, including pending, incomplete and complete.
  • Participate on Action Work Outs and utilize Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Adhere to all safety practices, regulations & requirements, including safe fork truck driving rules.
  • Be an active team player and perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Solid verbal/written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with hourly and salary personnel to meet the plant's training needs.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks independently.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • High initiative, self-starter, proactive, dedicated, results-oriented.
Minimum Qualifications
  • HS diploma, GED or equivalent required. Associate degree or some college preferred in business, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum one (1) year of training experience, preferably technical training, combined with at least three (3) years of manufacturing operations experience.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
  • Broad knowledge of varied technical and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to train others and impart information to others.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc.) and other systems required to perform the job.
Job Requirements
•Frequent walking, standing, and sitting 40-50%.
•Occasional heavy lifting of up to 30 lbs.
•Working in this environment requires eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toed shoes, and possibly hardhat in some areas.
  • Must be capable of working on off-shift and weekends based on business training needs.
  • Requires ability to obtain fork truck license.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass pre-employment and maintain thereafter for fork truck license.
