About the role

The position will sit within our Commercial team and will manage and develop sales at major existing & potential customers in Southwest USA & Mexico with a particular emphasis on new business development of high added-value and profit potential activities, and long-term customer partnerships.

Key responsibilities

Lead the sales activity at accounts in region, to support Scott Bader distributors, in a professional and skillful manner, to achieve and improve planned and targeted sales volumes, margins and payment performance, within budgeted operating costs, whilst conducting business in line with Commonwealth principles, and implementing agreed national & pricing policies, in line where needed with ISO 9001 accredited procedures. Will forge strong personal links with key players at each account personally managed, ensuring strong and lasting technical and commercial partnerships. Ensure a high level of effective customer service is provided, and customer projects are appropriately resourced, drive forward new sales development opportunities, within existing customer base and with entirely new customer opportunities, based on the full range of products & multiple technology manufacturing capabilities within the Scott Bader group, to deliver significant long-term profit and cash growth, working closely with marketing, technical, operations and market development teams as needed.

Will work closely with all Scott Bader internal teams responsible for order completion and product despatch, to ensure excellent and cost-effective customer service is provided, including active membership and leadership if necessary of project and/or service improvement teams, and to ensure that accurate & timely sales forecasts are provided to enable efficient & cost effective business & operations planning activities. Play a full role in selected new product/business development/market teams, to ensure effective product launch and rapid margin generation from new product & market initiatives, along with any other tasks reasonably requested to support the business activity and meet team and company objectives.

About you

The successful candidate will have significant business sales experience, science-based degree or equivalent and bilingual in Spanish and English. Able to effectively negotiate with internal and external partners and good understanding of margin and profit principles. Ability to effectively use data management systems. PC proficient including Microsoft Office and other software. Able to track and record successful key account management and new business development. Must be able to travel within USA and Mexico. Will be quality and safety conscious, with excellent attention to detail mind set, effective and professional communication skills, strong integrity and personal ethics that align to the Scott Bader principles.

Desirable:

Bilingual in Portuguese is a plus. Previous experience in chemical industry. Ability to make quick decisions and to assimilate information quickly.

Salary & benefits: The salary for the position will be dependent upon experience. In addition to your salary, you will also be included into our company bonus scheme (Group Staff Bonus & Profit Performance Bonus). Our Group Staff Bonus & Profit Performance Pay bonus scheme reinforces the Scott Bader principle of working together for a common goal and sharing in our successes.

Retirement: We offer a generous contribution to your 401k plan; we will contribute up to a maximum of 10%.

PTO/Holiday: Your annualized PTO leave will be pro-rated 15 days + 10 Holidays.

Volunteering & Fundraising: You will have one full day per year to complete volunteering work of your choice which will be paid. If you are thinking about fundraising for your favorite charity or local community event, we will happily match the funds that you have raised up to a maximum of $1000 within company guidelines.

Mocksville Location
New $16M, 110,000 square foot facility in Mocksville. With further investment we plan to develop the site into a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, fully operation in 2024.
