Summary: The cell lead will help direct day to day operations within cell. Helping cover vacation/pto when employees are absent within cell, making sure Drivetrain Techs are utilizing time efficiently, meeting daily/weekly goals set, assist in all training and trouble shooting that may arise throughout the day, being able to assist in the growth and improvement of our current processes. The CELL lead shall have a great eye for detail and show leadership abilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Get direction from Shop Foreman for daily/weekly goals

Assist in the training of new employees. Finish builds of employees who are out for VAC/PTO.

Be confident and able to hold others accountable to assure the process developed by management is followed.

Work directly with drivetrain Techs to assure builds are completed on time (part issues, trouble shooting, core requests).

Works well within team on all aspects (scheduler/warehouse/parts).

Continue to improve upon current processes.

Leads team by example, motivates and coaches' team to help meet expectations.

Helping scheduler maintain a current up to date list of builds on hold due to parts, assisting Drivetrain techs to improve output.

Ability to report to management any unsafe acts or conditions.

Work with management to help develop SOP/WI.

Communicate with maintenance on equipment issues.

Ability to work independently without direction.

Other duties determined by management.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Strong background and knowledge of units being built, ability to finish any unit.

Minimum of 3 years working in a shop environment.

Ability to problem solve and improve upon current process.

Strong leadership abilities, able to motivate and inspire team

Knowledge and Personal Attributes:

Strong planning, decisive and well organized.

Ability to multitask and guide a team by providing direction, coaching and creating an environment that encourages everyone to work with others.

Ability to help continue to develop new and existing talent.

Involvement and ability to listen to others ideas.
