Job Description:

The Regional Controller will provide financial leadership for a growing dynamic business within the New England area. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and work collaboratively with the parent company finance team and cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Sales across multiple local companies. Responsibilities Accounting and Finance

Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points. Establish (in coordination with CFO) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, project monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis. Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape. Draft (in coordination with the CFO) and support the implementation of accounting policies to safeguard company assets and ensure accounting rules are followed. Ensure accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions for HTS Engineering and related entities are managed in an efficient and accurate way. Financial and management statements – assist the financial reporting department with quarterly and annual results. Aid with yearly external audit/reviews. Ensure the Inventory system is accurate, review inventory levels, stock held is at required levels. Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.

Budgeting and Forecasting

Preparation of yearly plan in collaboration with regional and corporate managers. Preparation and presentation of monthly and yearly cash flow budgets based on current sales and delivery schedules.

Credit/Collections

Enforcement and updating of company credit policy. Ensure timely invoicing and collections for the geographic area. Work as a mediator between finance, sales/operations, and customers to ensure that customers timely pay all bills and billing related problems are identified and resolved.

Taxation

Assist Corporate Tax Group with government auditors for corporate, commodity and payroll taxes providing insight on local and regional tax matters. Review and apply for government subsidies, incentive and grant programs as available. Ensure timely and accurate remittance of all taxes.

Sales and Operational Support

Provide sales and operational teams with support as required.

Skills: College Degree specializing in accounting or business, preference given to those with an accounting designation (CPA) along with a minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience. Experience in Construction and/or HVAC and working in a multinational environment. Ability to understand and utilize advanced technologies. Excellent communication skills – both written and oral. Strong organizational and administrative skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision and to interact at all organizational levels. Note: this position is in the New England area. The successful candidate is expected to live local or plan to relocate to the area prior to starting employment. This position is in office.
