UCT is looking for a talented Procurement Specialist to join us in Arizona The Procurement Specialist Support the indirect procurement team in sourcing materials and services, managing stakeholder relationships, contracts, order expediting and supplier management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Findtrustworthysourcesofsupplytoensurethatthegoodsandservicesprocured with rightqualityandquantityandaredeliveredontime.
  • Conduct procurement processes of sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract management in accordance with policies and guidelines to ensure transparency, fairness and value for money.
  • Conduct price analysis and contract or purchase negotiations with suppliers to ensure that good and services are purchased at the most competitive price and favorable payment terms.
  • Adjudicate awards and make recommendations to management for approval.
  • Processing of PO, Change Order as well as tracking of deliveries.
  • Work with users to understand their requirements, review specifications, formulate procurement approaches and strategies appropriate for the purchases.
  • Provide regular feedback on materials/services status to stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and engage industries to understand supplier landscape and market supply conditions.
  • Work closely with corporate AP team/supplier/sites to resolve invoice/PO mismatches.
  • Innovate and add-value to the procurement processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Tertiary qualification in any discipline
  • Knowledge in business, finance and international procurement will be an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organized and meticulous.
  • Enjoys critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical work.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic environment.
  • Good project management skills.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
  • Tertiary Degree or Diploma in procurement/commerce field or equivalent.
  • CIPS or equivalent certification will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:
  • 10-15 years working in international procurement dealing with international suppliers.
  • Experience in Semiconductor &/or Chemical &/or manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Knowledge & experience using SAP for procurement.
