Position Overview

Vantage is looking for an ambitious, diligent, hands-on Project Cost Controls Analyst You will join the Project Controls Team in its mission to deliver outstanding Project Controls processes, procedures and behaviors globally. You will be responsible for providing cost and schedule support to the team as well as being a strong advocate within the organization for Project Controls.

Essential Job Functions

  • Support the NA Critical Projects team in the development of policies and procedures for scheduling and cost control.

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of standard schedule and cost control policies and procedures through communication and training.

  • Support the continued digitization and analysis of schedule and cost data.

  • Be a key contributing member to the NA Critical Projects team, supporting initiatives and providing team support where required.

Duties

  • Review, improve and propose new Power BI dashboards for detailed project analysis (cost & schedule).

  • Create cost estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations at all levels of a project. development, with heavy focus on conceptual planning and pre-construction phases

  • Support the development of a realistic and feasible planning approach for our One Design program.

  • Provide various cost analysis, data gathering, and data analytics specific to the cost of work for construction.

  • Review contractor and subcontractor GMPs and change order estimates for cost and schedule accuracy.

  • Review and implement lessons learned to ensure estimating and scheduling data is accurate and driven.

  • Driving the standards and supporting the implementation of cost loaded schedules.

  • Review, evaluate and support negotiations of non-OFCI material quotes as needed.

  • Responsible for supporting construction with scheduling inputs and analysis on active projects.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors / partners.

  • Provide training where required for new and existing policies and procedures.

  • Work with vertical peers focusing on continuous improvement to our business processes.

  • Assess compliance with company scheduling standards.

  • Maintain quality assurance and control on project schedules.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Management, Accounting, Finance or relevant functional field, or equivalent, combination of education and 3-5 years related experience.

  • Data Center experience is strongly preferred, but not required.

  • Knowledge of Procore Construction Software and Smartsheet are preferred but not required.

  • Knowledge and extensive experience using Microsoft software tools, such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word and Power BI.

  • Travel is expected to be less than 10% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Must possess the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
