Job description

A private healthcare company in West Fort Worth is seeking to hire a Credentialing Specialist to provide credentialing services for a large, multi-specialty medical group. Responsibilities will include completing hospital and insurance company applications, maintaining current licenses, malpractice insurance, malpractice claims information, CMEs, references, and verifying hospital participation. Works closely with hospitals and insurance companies regarding provider participation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified applicants must have the following:
  • High school diploma or general equivalency;
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, ICD 10 and CPT coding, HCPS codes, insurance processes, and computer literacy. Familiar with TSCA, CAQH, case logs and CMEs. Knowledge of Symplr or CredentialStream software is strongly desired but not required.
  • At a minimum, two years of previous experience in a physician's office or medical billing office.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to meet staffing needs.
