The Office of Performance, Strategy and Budget (PSB) is looking for a highly motivated Grants Specialist to join the PSB Grants Team. The ideal candidate will be an individual who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in holding themself accountable for their work, and has a passion for making a difference for the benefit of King County communities. As a key member of the PSB Grants Team, the Grant Specialist will perform a range of grant administration and monitoring functions to assist with grantmaking, grant management, and grant closeout. The position requires experience working as part of a team, strong organizational and communication skills, and keen attention to detail. Prior experience with grant management is desired but not a requirement. Job Duties Assist with grant-making: Assist with contract compliance Conduct ACH setup calls to assist with fraud prevention Follow up with awardees on pending action items (collection of standard forms, etc.) Assist with grant administration and closeout: Track project schedules, milestones, and action items Assist in monitoring grant project progress Assist with collection of grant documentation from grant recipients and contractors Analyze and make recommendations regarding compliance issues, violations of contract/grant agreement provisions, policies, and procedures Review contractor invoices and make payment recommendations Track and check awards and grant payments for duplication of benefits Compile and maintain trackers with key information about each grant to facilitate portfolio-wide reporting Assist with grant closeout Maintain grant files and communication records to ensure audit readiness Compile and review programmatic data to analyze the results/outcomes of PSB grants Draft communications, website content, and program summaries for senior staff Perform other duties as assigned.
