With your CNC programming/machining skills, you will be producing both internal and external new valve parts to very close tolerances from a variety of material types (carbon steel, 300/400 series SS, high-nickel alloys, etc.) using CNC lathes and CNC mills.In addition to machining new valve parts, you will also be an integral contributor to our professional service team, which is responsible for making repairs to existing valves and valve components.In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Be responsible for personal safety and for the safety of others. Must maintain excellent housekeeping standards. Set-up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture Fisher parts to OEM print dimensions. Develop and edit CNC programs using G-code and other programming languages. Verify program accuracy and troubleshoot any programming issues. Cross-train on all machines to prevent lapse in production flow including but not limited to engine lathes, manual drills, horizontal bandsaws, CNC lathes, VTLs, HBMs, and CNC mills. Must understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques. Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per part drawings. Potential for field assignments using in-line machine. Some travel may be required. Working knowledge of CAD/CAM (MasterCam) & SolidWorks' modeling is preferred Welding knowledge preferred. Experience in the process control industry is a plus.
