Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager who will oversee general ledger (GL) accounting, bank reconciliations, monthly closing processes, cost accounting, revenue recognition and financial forecasting. The role demands a high degree of accuracy, leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities: General Ledger Management:

Manage the company's general ledger, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate accounting records. Bank Reconciliation:

Conduct and oversee bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are properly recorded, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed. Monthly Closing:

Lead the monthly closing process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and deadlines are met. Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements for management review. Cost Accounting:

Manage cost accounting processes, including cost analysis, product costing, and variance analysis, to support operational efficiency. Financial Forecasting:

Collaborate with the finance team to develop financial forecasts, budgets, and financial models. Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic planning. ERP System Management:

Utilize ERP systems to maintain accounting records and financial data. Ensure accurate data entry and integration with other business systems. Team Leadership:

Supervise, train, and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring consistent accounting practices. Conduct performance evaluations and support team development. Compliance and Audits:

Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company policies, and relevant regulations. Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits. Process Improvement:

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy. Communication:

Communicate financial information effectively to senior management and other stakeholders, providing analysis and recommendations as needed.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger accounting, monthly closings, and financial analysis. Experience with ERP systems, such as Expendable, SAP, with the ability to navigate and extract data. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. Advanced proficiency in Excel and other accounting software tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
