Must hold a CPA and be highly proficient with VIE & technical memo writing experience (ASC810). This position is 100% onsite.

We are seeking a highly qualified Technical Accounting Manager with an active CPA to work onsite in New York City, NY (near Bryant Park) for an opportunity paying up to $160,000 plus bonus, which is based on experience and credentials. Total compensation, including bonus is up to $184K. The role focuses on enhancing financial compliance, developing sophisticated financial reports for strategic decision-making, and reinforcing internal controls. An emphasis on crafting high-quality accounting documents and expert analysis in lease consolidations and VIE (Variable Interest Entities) identification will be central to your daily responsibilities.

Requirements of the Technical Accounting Manager :
•6+ years of relevant experience
•Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA certification required
•Proficiency in advanced Excel and Word
•Expertise in memo writing, with a strong capability to communicate complex financial standards
•Knowledge in SOX process oversight and lease accounting under current GAAP
•Skills in financial data analysis and process improvement are essential
•Experience with accounting software preferred

Responsibilities of the Technical Accounting Manager :
•Develop and refine accounting memos, focusing on lease accounting and financial consolidation
•Evaluate and integrate new accounting standards, particularly impacting VIE and lease operations
•Lead SOX compliance updates and documentation efforts
•Analyze and provide transactional support on an ad-hoc basis
•Enhance reporting processes and meet deadlines for corporate filings
•Build and maintain strategic relationships with external audit entities
•Mentor team members and support collaborative team efforts
