Job Overview: We are seeking an IT Application Support Specialist to join our dynamic team and take charge of supporting software, chargers, and vehicles as they relate to our electric school bus fleet. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be dedicated to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our IT systems that support our electric school bus operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Software Support: Provide technical support for all Charge Management Systems (CMS) and related software applications used for EV Charging in school bus operations. * Troubleshoot software issues, document problems, and work closely with software vendors for timely resolution. * Assist in software updates and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. 2. Charger Support: * Monitor and maintain electric vehicle chargers installed at various locations. * Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure the chargers are operating efficiently. * Troubleshoot charger-related issues and coordinate repairs with vendors. 3. Vehicle Support: * Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure the integration of IT systems with electric school buses. * Monitor vehicle data, including battery health, charging status, and performance metrics. * Assist in diagnosing and resolving IT-related vehicle issues to minimize downtime. 4. Vendor Management: * Able to coordinate with vendor support, including levels of technical assistance, agreed SLAs, vendor support processes, software update procedures, disaster/incident response planning, and maintenances. 5. User Training and Documentation: * Provide training and guidance to staff on the use of IT systems and software. * Create and maintain documentation, user guides, and FAQs to facilitate user self-help. 6. Data Analysis and Reporting: * Analyze data collected from IT systems to identify trends and areas for improvement. * Generate regular reports on system performance, maintenance status, and cost savings related to electric school bus operations. Support inbound and outbound integrations. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). * Prior experience in IT support, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry. * Strong knowledge of software troubleshooting and support. * Familiarity with electric vehicle charging systems and electric bus technology is a plus. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. * Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and learn new skills as needed.
