You will play a key role in developing and maintaining software solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights for the business.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop software applications that support data ingestion, integration, and transformation.

Collaborate with data architects to implement star schema data models for data warehousing.

Utilize DBT (or similar systems) to build and maintain data pipelines for data transformation.

Leverage ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Matillion, Fivetran) to automate data movement and processing from diverse data sources.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code according to best practices.

Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure code quality and application stability.

Debug, troubleshoot, and fix technical issues

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data management and software development.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.

Strong proficiency in a general-purpose programming language like Python or Java.

Experience with data modeling concepts, particularly star schema models.

Experience working with DBT (or similar systems) for data transformation.

Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and tools (e.g., Matillion, Fivetran).

Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Preferred:

Experience working in the laboratory industry or with scientific data.

Experience with API development and integration.

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Experience with the Agile methodology

Education: Bachelors Degree
