We do this through unyielding quality, safety and integrity, our commitment to accountability and ownership, teamwork and creating better solutions by simplifying the complex.Summary:Pharmacists are responsible for oversight of daily compounding activities in the cleanroom with direct oversight of compounding technicians. This position involves working with the quality unit on pharmacy events and is responsible for some supervisory and administrative tasks. Essential functions:Supervises compounding, labeling, and daily operations in the pharmacyCompletes accurate logs of controlled substances and compounding recordsPerforms both pre-and-post compounding operational checksAccepts and incorporates new ideas and protocols in the workflow including process improvements and corrective actionsResponsible for deviation investigations and batch review prior to product releaseAssists in completion of variances and gathering of informationSupervises and assists technician preparing sterile admixturesCommunication of issues to Pharmacy leadEnsures compounding is performed in accordance with Standard Operation Procedures and batch record directionsMaintains pharmacy finished products inventory on a real-time basisEnforces applicable personnel policies and procedures RequirementsRequired Qualifications & Experience:Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)Active Pharmacist License in home state (AR and CT)2 years of experience in sterile compounding preferred2+ years of experience managing/working with techniciansDesired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to supervise compounding in the clean room environment.Excellent attention to detail Ability to learn gowning procedures and wear sterile Personal Protective Equipment. The Pharmacist is often completely gowned up in an aseptic clean room extended periods of timeMust be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 40+ pounds.Must be able to sit or stand for 4+ hours at a time as needed SCA Pharma is an equal opportunity employer (Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans).
