Spot cleans and vacuums carpet and upholstered chairs. Provides for clean ancillary services: Empties trash and relines trash cans. Dust mops floors. Dusts and cleans all overhead and wall fixtures. Vacuums carpet and upholstered furniture weekly. Cleans bathrooms with germicide cleaner. Wet mops floors that are not carpeted. Provides for terminal cleaning in the OR Areas: Conduct hand hygiene and uses gloves and PPE required Inspects room identifying and reporting any room issues Cleans floors Gather and remove all used and soiled linens Gather and removes all trach and infectious wastes Removes suction containers for cleaning Check sharps boxes and if 2/3 full changes containers Clean and disinfects all operating room surfaces and surgical equipment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situation Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, and maintain a positive attitude Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner Ability to communicate effectively, with excellent verbal and written communication skills Non-Essential Functions Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
