Job Summary:
  • The Design Engineer acts as a product design partner, collaborating with product groups, product managers, and sales staff. They bring their expertise to the table throughout the entire design process, from initial concept to ensuring the product can be manufactured using existing technologies.
Job Duties:
  • Develop and refine design concepts for new and existing customers, ensuring they meet application specifications, performance requirements, and regulatory approvals.
  • Lead the manufacturing process by creating designs optimized for production and adhering to customer requirements.
  • Provide comprehensive design support to both manufacturing and engineering teams to guarantee successful production.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for customer design changes, application assistance, tooling needs, and quality assurance considerations specific to each design.
  • Manage assigned projects to meet deadlines and ensure data reporting is complete and accurate.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • 5+ years of design experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Expertise in the use of Solidworks preferred
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Program
