As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety and quality. You will be responsible for overseeing various QA processes, including microbiological testing, equipment calibration, and sanitation procedures. Your expertise will help us maintain our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Quality Assurance Manager - Food Sector

Location:

  • Reporting Office: Windsor, Colorado
  • Ability to cover Fort Collins and Windsor sites

Compensation:

  • $50-$65 per hour
  • Contract to hire

Responsibilities:

  • Pull samples for microbiological testing
  • Verify the effectiveness of and document metal detection logs
  • Test AW and document on water activity logs for each work order
  • Document oven temperatures and RF settings every hour
  • Collaborate with operators and supervisors to adjust ovens and bake times based on visual quality checks and Aw results
  • Randomly check and verify weights on bulk packaging and boxed products
  • Schedule and manage all QA equipment calibration
  • Perform all pre and post-cleaning procedures to meet sanitary requirements
  • Conduct new QA checks as required for new processes
  • Fulfill any additional job functions as requested by the supervisor

Necessary Skills:

  • HACCP Certified

Education/Experience:

  • Experience in the food-related production sector
  • Quality Assurance experience - 3+ years (management 2+)
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • High School Diploma required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • General knowledge of machine operation
  • Basic math skills
  • Creative thinking for troubleshooting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Safe working habits
  • Ability to operate motorized lift trucks after on-the-job training
