The successful candidate will have experience in professional services and consulting, combines technical logic and sales acumen with exceptional communication skills, leadership, and exudes a savvy business demeanor. You will work autonomously, and must have strong time management and organizational skills, working remotely as well as at our HQ location in Columbia, MD for meetings and occasional face to face collaboration.

Summary:

Leads the lifecycle of new commercial business opportunities, regarding our cybersecurity and training solutions, working directly with leadership to build and expand business. Drives sales strategy, efforts, and supports capture, proposal development, and service delivery. Oversees the Business Development Representative for lead generation, qualifying opportunities, proposal responses, and necessary negotiation to close opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage new long-term relationships with clients/customers
  • Actively find and follow new sales leads and arrange/track business meetings with prospective clients
  • Brainstorm with the business unit team to create and execute new sales strategies
  • Negotiate directly with customers to meet competitive conditions and customer requirements striving to meet sales objectives
  • Attend networking events and participate in industry association meetings; may include travel
  • Participate in bi-weekly sales meetings and training as required
  • Prepare and present sales updates and capture strategies
  • Translate customer requirements into winning proposals
  • Negotiate and assist in writing and preparation of sales contracts and proposals
  • Cultivate positive interactions and relationships with the Edwards team, managers, and executives, consistently evaluating sales strategy and results
  • Manage records of sales, revenue, and other important data utilizing company CRM, Microsoft Dynamics
  • Develop and deliver ways to improve the customer experience and build brand loyalty

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in business, administration, or related field
  • Three to five years of previous experience in sales, management, preferably in Professional Services, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Demonstrated and proven sales results against targets
  • Proficient computer and presentation skills, CRM database, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Professional written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of cybersecurity standards to support and speak to client requirements
  • Fluent communication in person, on the phone, and in email
