The People Operations Specialist (HR Generalist) performs professional-level human resources functions and carries out responsibilities in one or more functional areas, such as, staffing/recruitment, employee relations, compensation, training, leaves, benefits, and payroll. The People Ops Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the Company is utilizing HR technology efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities Assists in interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions Conduct or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications Performs at an expert level user of HR technologies – HRIS (UKG) Coordinates new hire orientation Manage Employee Engagement, creating and updating budget, oversee events and activities Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Education A high school diploma or GED is required; an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline; in the absence of a degree, directly-related job experience serving in an HR Generalist role, where a number of years and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement

Experience & Skills At least three years of HR Generalist experience preferred SHRM certification a plus Through knowledge of employment laws and regulations, multi-state experience is beneficial Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to prioritize tasks Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Requires solid written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required Overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify

Travel Travel for this position is less than 25%
