Project Background:

Position Description:

The Deputy Project Management Lead will report directly to the Project Management Lead and oversee the Administrative and Support Staff Lead. The Deputy Project Management Lead will be charged with setting and overseeing deadlines for Administrative and Support Staff and meeting deadlines set by the Project Management Lead and the client team. The Deputy Project Management Lead will act in a leadership role when the Project Management Lead is unavailable and is expected to attend meetings between the client and contract leadership.

Required Skills:

  1. Must have at least five (3) years of related experience in office and program management, specifically supporting emergency management, emergency response in the government sector, or performing IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity activities, such as DR testing, policy and plan development, and facilitation.
  2. A substitute for two (2) years of experience can be given for:
    • A graduate degree related to emergency management, emergency response, public health, or public administration or holding a current Certified Emergency Manager (CEM)® credential issued by the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM).
    • Graduate degree with a major or concentration in Business Continuity or a related field holding a current Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)® or Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP)® or Certified Public Sector Continuity Professional (CPSCP)® credential from the Disaster Recovery International Institute (DRII).
    • Graduate degree with a major or concentration in Project Management or a current Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  3. Must be a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
  4. Candidate must be willing to travel into the regional offices up to 20% of the time, for events, and at the discretion of the client
Desired Skills:
  1. Basic skills in Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Teams, Publisher).
  2. Basic skills in Adobe products
  3. Basic knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques in a related field
  4. Knowledge of the production, management, and maintenance of Federal policy and guidance
