The Director, Media Relations supports the development and implementation of strategic public relations programs that highlight key clinical, health and research programs, initiatives and activities of the organization. The Director also participates in the development and execution of crisis communications plans. The Director may act as leader of the Press Office in the absence of the Senior Director of Media and Communications, as directed by the Senior Director. The Director is responsible for a number of key service-lines, referred to as “beats” in the Press Office, to be assigned. Anticipated initial assignments include cancer; heart among other beats.
