Scope
  • Reviews menus daily to determine quantities of food and supplies needed.
  • Prepares food for cafeteria, patient food service and catering using creativity, quality, consistency, and promptness.
  • Follow and comply with recipe standards.
  • 4. Monitors and replenishes food as needed for cafeteria, catering, or patient trays.
  • Ensures food is being handled and stored to Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines.
  • Operates various types of kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness. Records temperatures of refrigerators. Ensures equipment is in good working condition.

Minimum Qualifications
Required

Preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • One (1) year food service experience in a healthcare facility, such as health care food service is preferred Minimum 6 months experience in food preparation, preferably in a healthcare setting is preferred
