Thermacell currently employs 125+ full time employees at our 4 locations: Bedford Massachusetts (Corporate HQ), Buford Georgia (Manufacturing & Distribution), and Hampton Florida (Science & Research Center).

ROLE PURPOSE:

Thermacell is a rapidly growing brand at the forefront of innovation in mosquito repellent solutions. Thermacell is seeking a creative, action-oriented Sr. Brand Manager to design and lead the global brand fundamentals needed for healthy, long-term brand building. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive brand strategies that align with and help inform the business objectives. This is a role that will require strategic thinking and analytical curiosity.

This role's mandate is to increase brand awareness, drive new customer acquisition, and deepen the emotional connection consumers experience with the Thermacell brand.

The Sr. Brand Manager will report to the Director of Marketing.

STATUS: Exempt

WORKING HOURS: Typically, between 9-5pm M-F (open to some flexibility)

WORK LOCATION: Hybrid with 3 days per week in Corporate Office - 32 Crosby Dr Bedford MA 01730

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Strategically refine and develop global brand guidelines including positioning, design, and strategy.
  • Spearhead creation of creative brand assets including communications hierarchy, advertising content, ecommerce content, packaging design.
  • Cultivate a culture of brand love, activation of consumer insights, and protection of distinctive assets. Act as the #1 brand guardian leader internally and externally.
  • Analyze consumer usage, competitive data and category insights to design and optimize the winning brand marketing approach.
  • Apply deep knowledge of consumer product branding to build brand equity and drive brand storytelling.
  • Translate the brand strategy into crisp opportunities to optimize retail presence and merchandising efforts.
  • Collaborate with Product and Sales Teams to design pricing strategies that reflect brand positioning, competitive positioning, market dynamics and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the Thermacell brand creative strategy and bring that strategy to life in an integrated marketing plan. Write creative briefs that lead to compelling, converting advertising campaigns and other forms of traditional communications (Retail/On-shelf, Events, PR) and digital communications (Display, Web Video, Email, Social) that enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
  • Support product pipeline innovation identification and storytelling in partnership with Product Team, ensuring alignment with the brand strategy, consumer insights, and market needs.
  • Collaborate closely with external agencies and internal marketing activation country leads to make decisions and recommendations that will drive the brand and the business.

COMPENSATION

Compensation for this position will include a competitive base salary and an Annual Target Bonus program-details proved separately. Benefits for this position will consist of vacation benefits at a competitive level & 10 paid company holidays. Additionally, a company shut-down period is offered for one week between Christmas and New Year's Day.

Forty hours of sick time is also available on your first day of employment.

You may start contributing to our 401k after completing 30 days of service (enrolling on the first of the following month). You will be eligible for the employer match up to 4% (base salary + overtime wages - subject to the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) legal limit) after completing one year of service.

Requirements

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • 8-10 years of experience with consumer product brands - ideally on seasonal or regulated industries.
  • Preference for global experience, especially Canada and European markets.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, including brand positioning, messaging and campaign development.
  • Breadth of proven experience across key branded consumer touchpoints including packaging, in-store signage, advertising creative, and brand communications.
  • Excellent annual and seasonal brand marketing strategy development experience with proven track record of driving strong business results.
  • Has the exceptional ability to articulate new ideas, create compelling stories and translate data/trends through analysis into actionable insights and persuasive activation ideas.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills and ability to form inspiring, effective partnerships across global, cross-functional and external agency teams.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • MBA or equivalent is preferred but not required.
