About the Team
The role is part of the NX Platforms team at Nutanix, located in the San Jose area. The team is composed of professionals who focus on integrating innovative hardware and software solutions. With a culture that emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and flexibility, the NX Platforms team aims to deliver high-quality products that meet the evolving needs of customers. Their mission is to ensure seamless hardware bring-up processes and detailed project management throughout product development cycles. You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager, Alex, who is known for his supportive leadership style and commitment to fostering professional growth within his team. Alex emphasizes the importance of communication, collaboration, and flexibility, encouraging team members to engage actively in problem-solving, root cause analysis and project management. This role is fully on-site, and the candidate will be expected to work in the office consistently to facilitate effective collaboration with team members and vendors.
This role does not require any travel, as the candidate will be based in the San Jose area, allowing for efficient interaction with the team and local vendors as needed.

Your Role

  • Technical program management of critical HW and SW related Platform projects in a fast paced x-functional environment.
  • Crisp communication and comprehensive documentation related to project status.
  • Work closely and collaborate with cross-functional teams to engage in troubleshooting of HW and FW related Platform issues.
  • Handle on-call/support case follow-ups, knowledge base article generation and some field communications.
  • Engage with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely progress and resolution of HW related challenges.
What You Will Bring
  • Strong knowledge of x86 architecture
  • Familiarity with Linux and open-source systems
  • Understanding of hardware and firmware development
  • Solid understanding of release and project management principles
  • Extensive program management for SW and HW components
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Detail-oriented with good test plan skills
  • Basic scripting skills, preferably in Python

The pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 148,800 and USD $ 296,000 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
