POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Director, the Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, engage with the target audience, and drive business growth. You will leverage your expertise in social media platforms and trends to create compelling campaign and content ideas, manage online communities, and optimize campaign performance. You will also lead the execution of the influencer and content creator strategy, developing briefs and working with the Influencer agency to execute influencer and content creator plans. Collaborating closely with the Marketing team, you will contribute to the overall marketing objectives by delivering impactful social media initiatives aligned with the brand's broader strategies. The Social Media Manager will work closely with the Community Manager to develop and maintain a detailed social content calendar, and will review and approve all social posts developed by the Community Manager. The Social Media Manager will also work closely with the Content Manager to support the creation of new content ideas for social.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate selected for this position will be a driven, ambitious thinker who is intellectually curious and has a healthy appetite for trying new things. This individual will need to be self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit, and adept in operating in a fast-growing, performance-driven environment. He/she/they must also be accustomed to working on multiple tasks in parallel, and should be a self-starter that excels in finding ways to get things done.

Key Responsibilities
    • Lead the execution of new social media strategy including social media across BEVEL's O&O platforms (Focus on IG, TikTok, FB, limited support of YouTube & Twitter)
    • Develop comprehensive social plans to support key Marketing tentpoles, retailer programs & promos, key events, etc. across BEVEL's social media platforms
    • Create strategies that increase followers, total impressions and engagement rates across social O&O platforms, to help BEVEL grow awareness
    • Review and approve content calendar that is maintained by Community Manager, ensuring all key events, moments, etc. are captured
    • Collaborate with the Content Manager to get social content created as needed
    • Actively maintain and grow BEVEL social media contact list, including barbers, content creators, etc. (track handles and engagement with them, product seeding, etc).
    • Lead the execution of BEVEL's influencer strategy to ensure an always-on cadence of influencer and content creator content across IG & TikTok (within allotted budget)
    • Develop influencer briefs to support key Marketing tentpoles (i.e. Olympics, Holiday), retailer programs & promos, key events, etc.
    • Oversee influencer agency that will identify influencers based on your input and briefs; review and approve all influencer / content creator choices
    • Partner with Marketing to identify high performing social & influencer content that can be boosted or amplified as needed
    • Monitor social media & influencer metrics and report out results on a monthly basis to the organization
    • No direct reports, but this role manages the activities of social media consultants & the influencer agency
    • Ensure consistency and appropriate look and feel of all social media & influencer content to reinforce brand identity and recognition
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
Personal Qualifications
    • Proven experience in social media management and implementing successful campaigns and content
    • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in social media analytics tools
    • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas and content
    • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Writing and proofreading skills
    • Analytical problem solving skills
    • Experience working in startups / fast-paced environments and large corporate environments
    • The ability to think strategically yet show a willingness to roll up sleeves and to work effectively with others across the organization.

Educational Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
    • At least 3 years of agency experience or in a similar role
