Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for handling account reconciliation, accounts payable, and various general accounting projects. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
Responsibilities
Review the daily cash report and determine the criteria for maximizing cash through discount selection.
Process all check runs, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
Maintain relationships with vendors and handle the timely payment of invoices and expense vouchers.
Assist in annual audits and reviews.
Process direct orders between customers and vendors, accurately tracking orders using a billing template and resolving any issues that may arise.
Assist with month-end processes, including manual journal entries, trial balance reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation.
Prepare and send annual 1099 forms.
Process sales tax filings monthly or quarterly in compliance with state regulations.
Review expense reports for accuracy and process them accordingly.
Adapt to change productively and handle any additional tasks assigned.
Qualifications
A college degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accountant or similar role.
Strong knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Proficient in reconciliation and problem-solving techniques.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
Highly skilled in using accounting software and able to learn new systems quickly.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel.
Physical Requirements
This position is primarily sedentary.
