The organization is seeking two highly motivated individuals to serve as direct links to our campus-based mentor program and the college student volunteers at chapters across the country. The Associate Director of Programming (ADP) oversees and ensures program quality, program management, and financial sustainability at the chapter level. This includes onsite and remote chapter oversight and support, college student leadership development, volunteer training, partnership development, chapter fund development, fundraising support, and program management.

Written and verbal communication skills, relationship-building skills, the ability to interact effectively with a variety of people, and teamwork skills are valuable in this role.

This position reports to the National Director of Programming.

We are hiring for

two

open positions: Midwest-based Associate Director of Programming

- This position is based out of central Indiana and is hybrid, with a mix of in-office work and remote work. This position includes expected travel to College Mentors locations. Mid-Atlantic-based Associated Director of Programming

- This position is based in either North Carolina or Virginia and is a remote position (based in a candidate’s home location). This position includes expected to travel to College Mentors locations. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage all campus-related functions and aid in the creation and implementation of short- and long-term chapter plans involving recruitment, activity planning, training, partnership development, budgeting, fundraising, chapter strengthening, goal setting, and leadership. Coach college students as they grow in leadership by providing training, support, encouragement, and accountability. Communicate with college students, partner elementary school staff, and university faculty to assist in solving problems and building relationships. Ensure volunteers implement the national College Mentors for Kids program model and standards. Assist chapters with fundraising planning, execution, and financial management. Travel to each assigned chapter to provide on-site assistance to chapter staff and partners (includes evening hours and some overnight travel during the academic year). **During the academic year, ADPs spend approximately 35% of their time traveling/working at chapters. Collect and manage data from each assigned chapter on a weekly or monthly basis. Assist in the revision and creation of trainings, resources, and other projects to strengthen the program. Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications

Physical Demands/Work Environment This position includes significant evening work and travel during the academic year, including on-call hours some evenings on a rotating basis. Chapter assignments may include any site across the country and may change over time. Car and plane travel is required for this role. Candidates must have reliable transportation. Drivers of privately owned vehicles must have a valid driver’s license and meet required automobile insurance minimums. Candidates must be able to pass a name-based background check consisting of the National Sex Offender Registry, Criminal History, and driving records check. Additional Information

Salaryand Benefits: Full time, exempt Generous vacation package, including:

16 days of paid vacation time per year, increasing to 25 days over time 8 paid holidays plus the full week between Dec24 – January 1

Senior ADPs are responsible for additional program project work during the academic year, in addition to chapter support.
