JOB REQUIREMENTS: Driver CDL-A Location : Location US-WI-Madison ID 2024-5091 Category Transportation Type Full Time - Permanent Overview We are seeking a Class A CDL Driverto join our dynamic team We are looking for a responsible delivery driver to distribute research products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional, safe and cost-effective manner aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction. This is a mutli-faceted route driver position with regular overnight routes (1-2 nights), some weekend routes, teams driving for one route. This position would include rotating routes with the rest of the team. Starting Rate: $33/ hour + full benefits within 30 days of hire Responsibilities Be able to drive and successfully operate a vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs. Pick up loads, verify for accuracy, and deliver on time Accurately complete paperwork Load and unload various types of cargo safely Drive safely in various conditions, including heavy traffic and inclement weather Inspect vehicle before start of shift; perform basic truck maintenance when necessary Follow schedule and rest when necessary Be able to read maps and follow directions to a location Provide courteous, professional customer service at all customer locations Be able to repeatedly lift items weighing up to 70 lbs. Drive for long periods of time safely Willing to drive a teams route - this route is rotated Self-motivated and reliable Able to read maps and GPS Customer service skills Good knowledge of roads and direction, traffic laws, and DOT regulations Other duties as assigned Qualifications At least 5 years of CDL driving experience Successful completion of a motor vehicle driving record check Able to follow detailed instructions and communicate in English Strong ability to pay attention to detail Possess good customer relations skills Able to lift up to 70 lbs Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Must be available for specialty runs at early hours or for late starts, as needed TB Test required *This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience.
