As a Beacon employee, you can be a part of delivering our mission and improving the lives of people with disabilities.POSITION INTRODUCTION: We seek a reliable and detail-oriented person to be part of our custodial team. This is a Part time position working 5pm-9pm in AvondaleTo support our mission, preference will be given to individuals with a documented disability. Beacon Group provides extra accommodation and supports to help people with disabilities be successful at their jobs.BENEFITS:Competitive wages/salaries.401(k) plan with 4% company match.Employee Assistance Program.Vacation, sick leave and extended sick leave plus holidays and floating holidays.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Adhere to training as assigned by Custodial Account Manager, Custodial Lead, or designated trainer. Training may be written, oral, computer based, or on the job training.Adhere to all Beacon Group policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, security, and customer site policies.Ensure assigned spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash/recycle, organizing furniture, & dusting surfaces.Sweep / mop hard surface floors, vacuum carpeted areas.Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, urinals, and other restroom/shower fixtures.Stock consumable supplies in break areas and restrooms or other areas as assigned by leadership.Maintain accountability for assigned facility keys, badges, or other access media. Report stolen or misplaced access media to leadership immediately.Maintain accurate timekeeping by signing in and out or independently clocking in and out via Beacon Group's timekeeping system.Arrive for shift at assigned time, communicate with immediate supervisor if any assigned tasks will result in additional time beyond scheduled shift end time.Other duties as assigned by leadership team via verbal or written methods.Attend training and yearly review on the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard and Beacon's Exposure Control Policy. Understand and follow the Standard and Exposure Control Program.Report any potentially dangerous situations to supervisor and Human Resources. Take steps necessary to protect all individuals until the situation is corrected.Reinforce company safe practices.In the event of an industrial accident or illness, in conjunction with supervisor, complete an accident investigation and report to Human Resources.Ability to balance, bend, stand, walk, kneel, twist, stretch, climb, and sit.Ability to lift and carry or push and pull up to 15 pounds unassisted.Ability to act in a professional manner and communicate with building tenants and custodial leadership.Willingness to follow Beacon Group's Custodial Training Program.Willingness to learn custodial equipment.QUALIFICATIONS:Individuals with a documented disability encouraged to apply.Must be able to pass any background/drug screens.Candidate must have own transportation to/from work.Because we participate in the Ability One program, preference will be given to individuals with a documented disability.We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and we encourage all qualified females, minorities, persons with disabilities, and veterans to apply.
