The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and

the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs. Responsibilities Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: ·

Perform electrical design engineering to create and modify hardware and provide automation throughout the Kennedy Ground Control System, which controls our hardware and its performance for health monitoring and launch operations. ·

Demonstrate moderate to above-average working knowledge in applicable industry engineering standards and be able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment. ·

Lead engineering projects and assign tasks to peers with the group. ·

Support technical presentations to management and customers. ·

Understand and perform advanced electrical design and automation tasks. ·

Experience in product lifecycle systems and be able to develop and perform oversight of technical evaluations, engineering, calculations, and requirements reviews. ·

CAD experience is highly desired. ·

Experience in product release and document maintenance as it relates to manufacturing and aerospace. ·

Ability to create, support, and present technical presentations to management and customers. ·

Ability to lead design initiatives and demonstrate strong communication between teams and in internal and external meetings. ·

Mentor and develop team. ·

May be required to climb stairs to access equipment for trouble shooting. ·

Will be required to wear hearing protection, eye protection, and other associated personal protective equipment. ·

Physical requirements are sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures. ·

Position is located on a hazardous testing facility; must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in the event of an emergency. Work Environment ·

May be required to work inside and outside throughout the test complex. ·

Position may require individual to travel daily to different areas on site. ·

Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand, may be required to access various locations on the facility. ·
